Ull i paisatge / Ojo y paisaje / Eye and Landscape includes a wide selection of works by Juan Uslé that were showcased at the Bombas Gens Centre d'Art, Valencia. Co-puslished with the Valencian art center, this volume marks Uslé's returns to the land where he studied and began his career.
This exhibition, curated by Nuria Enguita and Vicent Todolí, presented a selection of the Juan Uslé’s work from the late 1980s – with expressionist, abstract landscapes and robust brushstrokes – to paintings from the series Soñé que revelabas, made in the last ten years. This series, a sort of self-portrait representing the artist's most intimate work, is further contextualised with a set of drawings – which function as notes or tests – and paintings from the 1990s, with landscapes of intense colours that alternate gesture and geometry.
Eye and Landscape emerged from the study of Uslé’s works within the Per Amor a l’Art Collection, which continues to support artists through exhibitions and monographic publications.
