Cornelia Parker will be in conversation with curator Andrea Schlieker on the occasion of Parker's current installation Stolen Thunder (A Storm Gathering) at the Kesselhaus, to explore the creation and sonic dramaturgy of the work.
The site-specific work comprises an orchestration of found sound developed with composer Graeme Miller, using field recordings gathered from the four corners of the earth. The prelude to the piece is a collection of recordings, chronologically charting almost 100 years of storms.
