Overleaf, a solo exhibition by Callum Innes staged within Chateau La Coste's Renzo Piano–designed gallery, brings together recent works from the artist's ongoing Resonance series, alongside two large-scale Exposed Paintings.
Innes generally works in series, allowing his methods to build upon each other and evolve gradually while he works on several paintings at the same time. The Exposed Paintings series exemplifies his technique of creating a play between painting and un-painting, where sections of the painting have been washed away with turpentine.
