Presented in collaboration with the Polish Institute in Stockholm, Västerås Art Musuem presents an extensive solo exhibition of work by Małgorzata Mirga-Tas, opening in the spring of 2024.
Mirga-Tas has created a series of new works specifically for the exhibition. Through accessing the stories and archival material of Västerås and the surrounding area, Mirga-Tas represents snapshots from the Swedish-Roma history with an emphasis on making visible the female experience. Alongside the new works, a selection of works from the ongoing series Herstories (2019–) will be included in the show.
