Cornelia Parker: Transitional Object (PsychoBarn). The Annenberg Courtyard, Royal Academy of Arts, London

Posted 20 September 2018

Frith Street Gallery is delighted to announce that Cornelia Parker's large-scale architectural sculpture, Transitional Object (PsychoBarn) (2016), is now installed in the Royal Academy's Annenberg Courtyard until March 2019. It was originally commissioned by The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in 2016 for The Roof Garden Commission where it was perched on their roof terrace, framed against an expansive view of Central Park and the city's iconic skyline. The classical contained space of the RA's courtyard, where this work has been installed for only the second time, provides a new setting for this compelling and unsettling work.
